American Association of Fund-Raising Counsel (AAFRC) Helps organizations investigate fund-raising consultants or consulting firms. Also provides fund-raising counsel and direction to nonprofit organizations. Includes Giving USA, its annual report on giving. A nonprofit group that promotes philanthropy and public service. The Web site includes information on how to start and improve corporate giving programs, employee volunteer projects and other efforts. America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth A nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing national and local commitments from the public and private sectors to provide every at-risk child in America with access to fundamental resources they need to lead happy, healthy and productive lives. The national service program that allows people of all ages and backgrounds to earn help paying for education in exchange for a year of service. Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) A professional association for individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit, charitable organizations. Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance Provides reports and information on charities. Boston College Center for Corporate Community Relations An international corporate membership organization partnering with businesses worldwide to strengthen their community relationships and investments to achieve healthy, sustainable communities in which to live, work and do business. Business Committee for the Arts The only national organization in the United States that works with business to develop and advance alliances with the arts that meet business objectives. Business for Social Responsibility A membership organization for companies of all sizes and sectors created to help its members achieve long-term commercial success by implementing policies and practices that honor high ethical standards and meet their responsibilities to all whom are impacted by their decisions. Business in the Community is a unique movement of companies across the United Kingdom committed to improving continually their positive impact on society, with a core membership of 700 companies. Indiana University Center on Philanthropy Seeks to increase the understanding of philanthropy and improve its practice through research, teaching and public service. American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) A national association committed to making the aims of liberal learning a vigorous and constant influence on institutional purpose and educational practice in higher education. Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) An international association of education advancement officers enhancing their institutions by bringing in support - money, alumni loyalty, public esteem or new students.
